Day 36 = Workout 5
Ahh...it's nice to be back to working out after a gorgeous feast like the one at my Mum and Dad's yesterday. Today was a day to spend with my husband and children. After sleeping in a bit this morning, I got up and hit Workout 5. All that I could smell while working out was a burning smell, a pumpkin pie burning smell...the pumpkin pie that I consumed yesterday. Oh yeah! The calories were burning away this morning.
It was back to the training of the Triceps this morning...more like TORTURING the triceps. Ah...but it's all good and ALL worth it! My arms are worth it! NO wings!
Over this last week while I have been sort of down and out with this cold, I say, "sort of", because I have still been getting my workouts done. My meals have been pretty good but I haven't had the energy that I normally do. After being at my parents home yesterday and talking with one of my sisters, she told me she too was suffering from the same type of symptoms I had. No energy being the biggest one of all. That is exactly how I have felt for the past week. I have felt lazy and I don't like it one bit. Yes it's nice to take a rest or a break once in awhile. But, to feel like you want to crawl into bed and sleep at any chance you can get, is not so nice. Not for me anyway. Too much to do. Like grocery shopping, I didn't go yesterday and today everything was shut. So this week I may just follow Jillian's 7-day Kick Start meal plan again. And take this week to recover fully from this nasty cold and get back to being ME. The REAL me.
The REAL me that posts inspiring things to keep all of you going. I don't feel like I have done that this past week and a bit. I want to thank ALL of you who have kept reading and following along. Since starting this blog way back in February of this year my blog has had hit almost 70,000 page views. THANK YOU!!!
Stay Strong!
Good night

Day 34 of Round 2 Body Revolution
Day 34 = Cardio 2
I got up. I got it done. I got back into bed. Hehehe...but not for long. When I came back into the bedroom, my little girl was snuggled in the bed, she looked so cozy under the blankets, I couldn't resist. I first had a quick shower, wrapped myself in my husband's robe and crawled into bed. You see, my husband likes to have the window open in our bedroom for some cooler air for sleeping...but it was FREEZING in our bedroom this morning, so crawling back into bed was definitely called for. My daughter woke up as I came out of the bathroom and when I crawled into the bed we had a little giggle that we were still in bed while the boys were up and roaming around. They were getting ready to go out for the day...well... we were ALL going out for the day, together. So I couldn't stay in bed much longer.
We were heading to MEC in Burlington, ON to do a bit of shopping for my husband's upcoming camping trip. While we were in Burlington, we stopped in at IKEA. Why is it when you go into IKEA for one thing that you need, you always come out with more than that ONE thing??? I bought a new light for the kitchen. I NEED new lighting in the kitchen. The light bulbs cost almost half of what the light fixture cost. However, the light was NOT what I went in there for, that was the EXTRA. I went in to get 2 more chairs for the daycare, as I have more after school children as of next week, so I NEEDED more chairs and came out with some lights too, and some cutting boards and light bulbs. Let's hope the light looks good. I hope to get it up tomorrow. Our house is almost 13years old and only one of the kitchen lights has been changed, but my husband doesn't like it, so that one will be changed too. One light down...two to go.
I know none of this has to do with fitness or food, but it has to do with me. And with that, by getting new lights in my kitchen, I will be able to see better when I am preparing delicious and healthy meals. The light bulb HAS gone on...well tomorrow it will.
After we got home from our little road trip, my husband was checking out his camping supplies so I took off to The Bulk Barn. Remember a few months ago when I reorganized my kitchen cupboards??? The ones with the baking supplies in them??? These ones...

Well the trip to the Bulk Barn was to replace some of the supplies that I have used up in the last little while. They now sell Virgin Coconut Oil in bulk. I got most of what I needed, but I did forget a few things. They can wait till next week.
Get organized in the kitchen, it really helps. I am still waiting on my Kitchen-cleaner-upper though...my cupboards are neat, but my counters are a mess right now. Let's hope the new light will help me get those counters cleaned up. Because I don't think my kitchen-cleaner-upper is going to come over...
Tomorrow we will be heading to my parents' place for Thanksgiving dinner. Mmm...turkey and all the trimmings. Right now I have 2 pumpkin pies in the oven, let's hope they turn out. Besides going to my Mum and Dad's for dinner tomorrow, tomorrow is a BIG day. Tomorrow marks my 500th day of logging into www.myfitnesspal.com I must admit this last week hasn't been the greatest for logging in because of this cold I have, but I have tried to keep on top of it. This site has kept me motivated to stay on the right path on my journey. I am so glad that I began 499 days ago. 499 days and 41 pounds have gone and I feel fantastic(despite this silly cold).
Well it's late, it's been a long day and I am ready to say good night. Tomorrow is my rest day, so...
Until then...Stay Strong!

Even though it is supposed to be my rest day, I may just get in a workout to offset the Turkey Dinner and Pumpkin pie. Sweet Dreams!

Day 33 of Round 2 Body Revolution
Day 33 = Workout 6
I finally got a really good sleep last night and did not want to get up this morning. I did hit the snooze button once...okay maybe twice...alright, alright...three times. I finally got up and got ready and did my Workout 6, and I am SO glad I did. I felt better after completing it. I didn't have enough time to do anything else in the ways of another workout, and now that my day is drawing to an end...I'm done. Still trying to beat this silly cold that started last Saturday. Enough is enough! I know that many others out there have been dealing with the same illness and it's not pretty...is it??? The main thing is to try and stay focused on eating right as best you can, when you feel like eating. I know with me, eating has not been as normal as it usually is. I don't have the energy to plan anything. I know that this illness will pass and soon I will be back to normal. I am going to TRY this weekend to find the strength to sit down and plan out next week's meals and snacks. I need to get back to do my other normal things besides my workouts to feel like I am at 100%. But every journey has it's bumps. You just have to Keep Calm and Stay Strong. And keep pushin' on.
Even my blog posts are struggling because of this cold. All I want to do is rest. So rest is what I will do.
But before I go, I want share something cool...
Today I got an email from Oxygen magazine telling me that I WON a signed copy of Off the Couch! Signed by Rita Catolino.
I am already off the couch with my workouts, BUT right now I need to be on the couch resting. Tomorrow I am getting up early to hit Cardio 2 and maybe some abs before we start our long Thanksgiving weekend.
Until then...Stay Strong!
