Week 2 Day 4 of RushFit

Week 2 Day 4 = Rest Day

????

I DID IT!

I took a rest day today...I shut my alarm off and slept until 7AM.  It felt good.  I felt refreshed for the most part of the day.

I think I mentioned this before...since starting RushFit, I have been more tired than I was with Body Revolution.  I find that I have been eating more too, not over eating, but just eating more(good stuff still).  Bad news...no weight loss so far.  Good news...no weight gain either.  At the end of this week, I may look at the Training schedules again and decide whether or not to change from Beginner to Intermediate.  The workouts are still the same but they are just scheduled differently.  The Abdominal & Core workout I did yesterday is tough while I'm doing it, but I don't think it's challenging enough for me.  Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it is doing my body good, but I just don't feel things changing inside.  Remember that soreness I told you about caused by Workout 7 in Body Revolution???  I want to feel that again.  That was challenging, well at least for the first week anyway.  I may up my weights the next time I do that workout, as long as I can handle it.  Or I might try holding the Lateral Planks for longer on each side rather than switching sides every 5 seconds, and they do suggest this during the workout.  Tomorrow I am back to the Fight Conditioning Workout.  Note to self: DO NOT WEAR THE ZIPPER BACK POCKET PANTS
If you are starting RushFit, be sure to check out theTraining Schedules and pick the one that you think is suitable to your workout level.  As I said, I may switch up to the Intermediate Level next week.  I wasn't sure how difficult the workouts would be...now I know and now I can turn it UP...push the UP button...I need to challenge myself again.

I do find there is a lot of talking in these workouts which does take up time.  My time...YOUR time...I now skip over the chit chat.  I know what to expect and I know what I am doing.  It helps to cut down the time I am spending doing the workout.

Today's food...
Breakfast: Raspberries & Vanilla Greek Yogurt
I needed and wanted something quick and easy this morning...a NO brainer kind of morning.

Nothing added...no Quinoa Crunch, no Holy Crap...just yogurt and raspberries...YUM!

Lunch: Pesto Grilled Cheese Panini

Snack: Super Rich Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Icing
Okay so I made this recipe again and this time I used some different ingredients to help it out.  I changed up the icing too.
I didn't care for the icing on this one, and the cake was so, so.
SO...I made yet another cake...

Dinner: Baja Salad from Wendy's
We had to zip out to check out some landscaping supply stuff and we stopped into Wendy's on the way home.  So I grabbed my new favourite "Fast Food" salad.

After Dinner Snack: The ChocolaTree Chocolate Cake(I named it that)
This was my fourth attempt at making a healthy CLEAN cake...

 I like this one...BUT...
My son thinks it's too chocolaty...WHAT?!?!?
How can something be TOO chocolaty?
I don't know what to do, I don't think I can handle making anymore chocolate cakes.  And yes I am sick of tasting them too.  I now have a stomach ache...maybe they are TOO chocolaty...nah.

After all the taste testing of cake, this Rest Day should be an Ultra Marathon of Workouts Day.  Nah...I did stay within my calorie limits, but I just feel very full.  I definitely need to get back to working out tomorrow, and NO MORE CAKES!

Until then...Stay Strong!

Good night

Trina
