Body Revolution Day 60 of 90

Day 60 = Workout 9

Dive Bombers anyone?  This morning when I did them, I couldn't help but think of yet another movie.  This time...no it's not another Will Ferrell movie...the movie I thought of was, G.I. Jane with Demi Moore.  Remember how she seems to stick her butt in the air when they are doing the Push Ups in the water workout scene?  That's how I felt, doing the Dive Bombers.  My A$$ in the air and then diving down into a push up like move, and then flowing back up with my A$$ in the air again.  Oh yeah...I'm SEXY and I know it!...LOL
That movie is a great one to watch for extra motivation when I need it.  However, I haven't had to watch it in a while because you have all kept, and are keeping me motivated.  I tried to find you a clip for this one but it wasn't very good.  So watch the movie and it will maybe help you to stay motivated too.  But DON'T go and cut all your hair off!  Well...unless you want to.  Stay Strong! LOL

Squat Jacks SUCK!  But they will get my legs in shape so I WILL DO THEM...ALL OF THEM!  It seems like a VERY LOOOOONG minute with these.  But I know that they will get easier to do.

I like the Down Dog series of moves that she does in this one.  I just wish we would have done at least 2-3 sets, each time in the circuit, you only go through it once each time.  I might try and sneak in another set each time, next Monday.  "Push the UP button PEOPLE!"<<<in Jillian's voice.  he he he <<<in my silly voice.

Plank Moguls have become one of my favorites.  Jillian says, "If you need to stop, and die, that's okay.  Resurrect yourself, and then keep going"...LOL  They ROCK!  Hell, I ROCK!!!!!  And so do YOU!

Now that I have talked about how to burn calories, let's talk about consuming some...some good one...some CLEAN ONES.  And keep in mind the statement in the picture below.
So Eat CLEAN!

Today's food...Breakfast: Steel Cut Oats with Apples & Walnuts
This is a great breakfast to fill your belly up for hours.  It even satisfies that sweet tooth you may have, with the apples and the maple syrup, honey OR agave nectar(whichever you use), you won't even look at those cookies, donuts or any other sweets that make their way into the break room(way to Stay Strong in the teacher's lounge, Julie)

Lunch: Salmon Wrap with Spinach, Onion & Kiwi Salad
I used the Curried Salmon Salad Pita Pockets recipe from the Fat Burning Meal Plan recipe book.  Instead of putting it on pita bread, I used a whole wheat wrap.  I was going to use all of the salmon mixture, but it was too much for the size of wrap I had, so left the rest for another day.  The Spinach, Onion & Kiwi Salad is just what it sounds like.  Simple those 3 ingredients on a plate with 1 tablespoon of Pesto Parmesan Vinaigrette.  Delicious!

Snack: Baked Garlic Pita Chips/Guacamole
I made the Guacamole from Tosca Reno's Eat Clean Cookbook this time.  Her recipe uses more onion than that of Jillian's.  Both are great recipes to use, it's always nice to change things up.  Both are easy to make.

Dinner: Grilled Honey~Mustard Chicken Breast with Mashed Cauliflower

My own 'thrown-together' recipe.  It's just 1/4 cup organic honey, 1/4 cup Dijon Mustard, dried basil, dried oregano, 1 tbsp olive oil and a dash of salt & pepper.  I mixed it all up, placed the chicken in Ziploc bags and poured the marinade over and placed them in the freezer as I made these up on Sunday.  I thawed them out yesterday and grilled them up tonight.  The kids love this dinner too.  My son cleared his plate after having seconds of the mashed cauliflower.  My kids aren't too fussy on mashed potatoes, which is fine by me.
The cauliflower done like this also tastes great with steak.  You get the feeling like you are eating mashed potatoes with your steak...only better.  The cauliflower was cooked on the stove until tender.  Mashed and then beat with electric mixer, add a little milk and a small amount of butter. Blend until smooth.  Enjoy!
In addition to the herbs I started from seed.  I have also started some tomato plants in an upside down hanger planter pot.  They have sprouted...

...and so have my broccoli sprouts I started in a Mason jar.

While my secret garden grows, I will be relaxing upstairs and chilling out before bed.

Tomorrow I hit Workout 10 again.  My legs and butt are going to love tomorrow's workout.  I am still sore from Monday and Tuesday and Cardio 3.  Phase 3 is a GREAT one!  I hope that soreness continues, because I know that is the fat SCREAMING about not wanting to leave my body, but it is getting its eviction notice.  Maybe by the end of next week, my hips will be down another inch(or two)that would be nice.  Smaller hips + butt lifted + unjiggly thighs = a very happy Trina  Tomorrow I WILL KILL Workout 10.
Until then...Stay Strong!

Good night

Trina
