365 Days Later...

May 25, 2012

Well according to http://www.myfitnesspal.com/,  I have been on My Journey to a Healthier Version of ME for 365 days. Today marked me logging into MFP for 365 in a row.  I actually started on May 27, 2011, but I guess with the extra day of Leap Year this year, I come up one day earlier.  An extra day of Eating Right and Working Out!  The sign should maybe read 366 days tomorrow. LOL

Here is my year in progress...

BLAH...Before...BLAH!!!              22 LBS DOWN           27 LBS DOWN          45 LBS DOWN

EEEKs...I looked like a barrel.  BUT...It's not about being SKINNY, it's about being HEALTHY and FIT.  I want to feel good everyday for the rest of my life, and eating right and exercising will do that for me.  And for you too!!!  So...get started today and then next year when I am celebrating my 2nd year, we can celebrate your 1st!

I am not quite to my weight loss goal yet.  With lots of hard work I have reached this point on my journey,  and with eating CLEAN and exercising I will reached my weight loss goal soon, maybe mid summer.  Maybe by my Birthday on July 26th.  Yes! Let's make that my goal date.  My goal - Hit my weight loss goal of 130 lbs by July 26, 2012.  I may even indulge in a piece of my birthday cake.  I know I always say, "DON'T reward yourself with food!"...the cake would NOT be my REWARD...a trip to the SPA would be more like it!  OR The Fluevog Boots that I showed you all once before, BUT...just in case you forgot what they looked like...

OR maybe the Birthday Monsters will bring me these!!!  OOOhhh, that would be nice!
REWARD or Birthday Monsters, I will still work my A$$ off to hit my goal.

Today's food...
Breakfast:  Multi-Grain Pancakes with Maple Berry Syrup

Lunch: Baked Salmon with Asparagus and Cantaloupe Salsa

The Cantaloupe Salsa is great, but tasted better with the Tilapia I had yesterday.

Snack: Chocolate Covered Carrot Cake Ball/Red Grapes

Dinner: Subway's Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki Salad

We went out tonight to get some things ready for a weekend of CLEANING UP inside and outside our home.  After my workout in the morning, I am hoping to do some gardening before it rains this weekend.  If it rains, the clean up goes inside.

I know many of you have been wanting the Colourful Cookie recipe, and I will get it to you soon.

Today's workout...
Ripped in 30 Week 1 - This is a great workout.  If you are not ready to invest the time or the money in Body Revolution...Ripped in 30 is a great one to start with or the 30 Day Shred.  Last summer I started with 30 Day Shred and then moved onto Ripped in 30.  They were kind of like my stepping stones on my journey...stepping stones that shredded some of the fat and started to build the muscles that I have now.

After doing the Extreme Shed & Shred yesterday and Ri30 today, I can feel the soreness again...it feels good.  Weight training is definitely a MUST in my life.  I may even follow up my Cardio tomorrow with some weight training OR I might just save it for gardening and cleaning.

Until then...Stay Strong!

Good night

  1. Hey there! :) I found your blog through a friend, and have been reading some older post, love it here. :)
I have been working out religiously since last July. I used to do Jillian workouts as well, along with some Tae Bo, but then got pregnant with twins. After I was cleared to workout again, I started back with Jillian, but wasn't where I wanted to be. Started doing Insanity last July, and my life just completely changed. :) I actually got Body Revolution from a friend, hoping I would like it, wanting to add something different....I was able to move through to phase 2 and 3 weights, the cardio was a bit to easy for me. gotta blame that on Insanity LOL
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and tell you your inspiring and to keep it up! :)
