Body Revolution Day 70 of 90

Day 70 = Rest Day

Ahhhh...I slept in until 10am this morning...I love rest days.

No loss for me this week on the scale, and no real gain either. Because it was such a crazy busy week and eating some different foods that I myself, did not prepare, I knew I wouldn't drop anything. And that's okay. I am not discouraged at all. I made wise choices when it came to eating out, and I was able to maintain the weight that I was at, at the beginning of the week. This coming week should make a difference though. Starting with Workout 11 in the morning.

Today's food...
Breakfast: mmm...Multi Grain Pancakes with Maple Syrup & Blueberries...mmm

SO delicious, and yet SO CLEAN.

My kids enjoyed a serving between the two of them, and I threw the other 4 servings in the freezer.  Even though the 90-days of Body Revolution are coming to an end, that doesn't mean eating right stops there too.  I will keep on eating right, eating CLEAN because that is just the way it is now.  Even if I choose to do another program, and it too may have an eating plan with it, I will still enjoy some of my favorites from the Fat Burning Meal Plan recipe book included in the Body Revolution program.

Lunch: Chicken Salad with Green Grapes on a Wrap Topped with Onion Crunch
Because I was able to sleep in this morning, I ate my breakfast at almost lunch time, so lunch was eaten mid afternoon before we went grocery shopping.

ALWAYS eat before going out grocery shopping.  That way you won't tempted to throw any no-so-good items in your shopping cart.

I used up the leftover Chicken Salad from what I made up yesterday morning before going to the show.  However today, I put it on a tortilla wrap and ate it like a taco.  It worked out to be the same calories as using a bun and just as good.

Snack: Sea Salt Sweet Potato Chips/Oranges with Lemon Yogurt Cream/Rice & Sesame Cakes Yogurt Covered(Nativa Organics)
I want to make my own Sweet Potato Chips, but for now I picked some up while we were out today.  I put a full serving of them in a dish and my little girl ended up eating half of them.  I'm so glad she likes sweet potatoes too.

After dinner I also made up the Oranges with Lemon Yogurt Cream.  I also had some Yogurt covered rice and sesame cakes.

Dinner: Beef Stir-Fry with Broccoli and Shiitake Mushrooms served with Long-Grain Brown Rice
This recipe calls for Brazil Nuts...I didn't have any in the house, so I used almonds instead.  The other few times I made this same meal, I hadn't used nuts then either.  So it was a nice change and great taste.  I did buy some Brazil nuts while we were shopping because I know there are a couple other recipes that call for them, so now I have some on hand.

While we were out shopping I also picked up something else for a recipe that I didn't think that I would try, I bought the squid rings for the...Calamari dish from the Fat Burning Meal Plan recipe book.  Eeekkkk!  I'm not sure when I will make it, maybe Thursday.  I have all my days planned out already but you know me, I like to change things up if I have the ingredients in house.  My husband told me, "Don't try to trick me into eating it, I will be sick"...LOL  I will make the 4 servings and freeze the other 3, that's if my kids don't try it.  I will try to get them to eat it.  They may surprise me, and LOVE IT!  I will let you know how that all goes.

So I told you that one of my rewards would be Jillian's new Kickboxing DVD.  I ordered it and another program through Amazon last week.  This was waiting for me at my front door Friday night we we got back from the wedding.  The other, that I will tell you about as soon as I get it and look over it all.  It may be my next workout program.  I will probably do Jillian's Kickbox FastFix the week after I complete Body Revolution.  Then I will go from there.  FastFix is made up of 3 Intense 20-minute workouts.  Workout 1 focuses on toning the upper body, Workout 2 is going to tone and sculpt the lower body, and Workout 3 really zeroes in on the abs, all while melting off the fat with wild and fun kickboxing cardio.  I will most likely combine this DVD with my Spin bike workouts.  I will be sticking to approximately 30 minute workouts, just like Body Revolution.  Over the last 70 days I have gotten used to ONLY working out once a day/6 days a week, for approximately ONLY 30 minutes a day.  I LOVE IT!  I have mentioned before that I can fit this into my life and maintain it over time.  And so can you!

I still have 3 weeks left in Body Revolution and I am going to ROCK those 3 weeks!  Starting with Workout 11 in the morning.

Until then...Stay Strong!

Good night

Trina
