Body Revolution Day 53 of 90

Day 53 = Workout 7

I LOVE THIS ONE! I really do. It's very challenging with all the core work, and THAT, is FANTASTIC!

Well I tried the Jack Knife Crunches with the extra mat under my tush...I did maybe 5 of them, then reverted back to Pike Crunches.  I think it's psychological now with these.  I am psyching myself out before I even start them now.  WEIRDO!!!  I can do these on the carpet, NO problem.  It was the last time for this workout, so I may not have to do them again in Phase 3...I'll see.  IF I do, and IF I still can't get my head around them, I will do Weighted Pike Crunches instead.  I will NOT GIVE UP!

If you are just starting Body Revolution, DO NOT be afraid of what you are reading in the more recent posts.  You will get stronger with each and every workout you do.  Take for instance the Push Ups...you start off with Modified Push Ups(on your knees)Workout 1, then progress to Military Style(from the toes) Workout 3, then onto Military Push Ups with a Side Plank(<<love these) Workout 5, then onto Crow Push Ups & One Legged Push Ups(very challenging, but doable) Workout 7.  You WILL be able to do these.  Jillian does show you modifications too.

Nothing else to say about this one that hasn't already been said.  I don't want you to get bored of hearing about the same moves over and over again.

So yesterday I was telling you of my UP button version of Cardio 2...Right?  Well my arms are feeling it today.  Biceps and Triceps are shouting(not screaming), but shouting at me today.  That's okay though, I am prepping them for the next phase.  At least that is what I'm telling them...LOL.

Today's food...
Breakfast:  Blueberry Banana Muffin

Lunch: Salmon Sausage with Creamy Chive & Onion Sweet Potato Mash with Pecan Topping
I told you I loved salmon.  I had it yesterday for lunch and again today...I might even eat yesterday's leftover piece of salmon, tomorrow for lunch.

When I went to buy the chocolate the other night from Vincenzo's in Waterloo, ON, I also picked up these Salmon Sausages from their seafood counter.  I saw them, and I was curious to try them.  All the ingredients were listed on the label that was on the package.  I entered them into MFP recipe calculator and came up with some numbers.  Not sure if they are 100% accurate, but at least it's better than entering an unknown brand that comes up in the MFP food database.  These would taste good in the morning, with some homemade salsa and poached eggs.  I bought 2 links, so maybe I will try that next time, maybe even tomorrow.  I could now eat salmon for breakfast, lunch AND dinner...LOL.

Snack: Next Organics Dark Chocolate Bananas/Organic Popcorn with A Hint of Sea Salt
I am having this snack as I am writing to you all.  We went to the new Marshall's that just opened up last week, and I found these 2 snacks as we were on our way to the cash (my daughter found a dress she just had to have).  I read the labels, checked out the ingredients, calories and everything else and thought they both looked pretty good.

Okay...the Dark Chocolate Bananas are fantastic!
A serving is 12 pieces at 160 calories per serving.  Only 13 calories per piece.  I ate 4 pieces, and my daughter and my husband enjoyed some too.  I told them, "the Easter Bunny could bring me some of these".

The popcorn was really good too!

Dinner: Barley Soup with Turkey Sausage/Half serving of Turkey Barley Pilaf
Leftovers again...which was quite all right by me.  We went out right after I was done with the daycare for the day...for the LONG weekend...Yay!  So, once we got back home, I heated the soup and the pilaf, and enjoyed.  Then I enjoyed the above snacks...mmm...good.

Since it is a long weekend, I will be spending the weekend cleaning the house, cleaning out the closets and cleaning up the backyard(AGAIN!!!)  My children are such Mess Makers, it seems like this house is ALWAYS messy.  Uggghhhh...cleaning...I hate it, but I love the way the house looks when it's all done.  <<<And last for all of, oh, say about 1 hour or so.  My kids are non-stop, they are just go-go-go.  I guess that's better than them sitting on the couch watching TV all the time.  So, from doing Yoga in a grocery store, to taking part in their own International Toilet Brush Fighting Championship in a store, they are always on the go...

Check it out...my daughter is doing Warrior 3...good girl...now just pick up some weights, Honey...LOL.

I will be waking up tomorrow just as early as if it's a normal work day.  I will probably be burning tons of extra calories tomorrow while cleaning, but I will probably not log it...unless I break a sweat.  Maybe I should wear my HRM to see how many calories I actually burn.  I will start my day off with Body Revolution's Workout 8 and then start the Cleaning Revolution on our home.

Until then...Stay Strong!

Good night

Trina

    1. Hey Helene,

They are not as bad as you might think. She does show you the modified version too. At least you are TRYING, and that's what makes the difference.

      Keep up the great work!

      Stay Strong!

  2. What a great day and great plan for the weekend! I love how you are able to follow the meal plan while still substituting, and mixing and matching. When the program is done you will not have any problem making continually great meal choices. Enjoy the long weekend!

  3. Great advice about the upcoming workouts. They sound terrifying to me, but the plan is intended to build us up gradually. Hopefully I get there (although I'm through Phase 1 today & cannot make it through a full set of military-style push ups!).

Your lunch looks scrumptious!! Love the picture of your daughter doing Warrior 3...that is adorable. Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. Hi ct,

Just keep on doing what you are doing and you will get stronger. There is nothing wrong with doing the modified push ups. All the other push ups can be done in the modified versions.

      Have a great long weekend!

      Stay Strong!

  4. Holy cow that work out was hard. I was almost crying during the first 5 minutes. I am half way through week 7. I have lost 10 lbs and more than 20 inches. I am a few pounds more than you. Hope to get under 150 in a few weeks (has been years since that has happened). I am seeing a change in my body and feel great. Jillian is really kicking my butt. It is nice to see someone else going along as I am. Thanks for posting your food. I am not too happy with her meal choices. I don't have hours to spend in the kitchen and do not enjoy cooking at all. Good luck to you. I will continue to read your posts everyday! They are very inspiring.

    1. Hi Kim,

That's awesome that you are where you are. The weight and inches that you have lost is great! Congratulations!
The meals really don't take hours to prepare. If you take some time on the weekend, you can prepare lots of meals and throw them in the freezer for future use. Even if you don't like to cook, this program helps you to make better food choices. Eat Clean and you will lose the weight. Eat Clean and you will keep the weight off.

      Stay Strong!

      Thanks for reading.
