This silly cold that I have had since Saturday September 29, 2012, is finally leaving my body. Yesterday morning I did wake up ready for my workout but then I looked in the mirror and that's when I saw it. The face that was staring back at me was NEEDING a day off. The night before my eyes got super sore and itchy, and because I don't wear makeup(even if I did) I rubbed them like crazy. I know, I know, I should have just left them...BUT I couldn't. I went to bed and tried to sleep, still rubbing my eyes, I finally fell asleep after about 30 minutes or so. At 5:30 yesterday morning, when I saw my eyes in the mirror, there was NO WAY I would be able to function properly if I didn't try to rest my eyes a little more. So I crawled back into bed. I didn't sleep much because I felt a bit guilty for being back in bed. When my 7am alarm woke me up, I looked in the mirror and I looked a little more rested. The redness had faded and the puffiness had gone down. It was then time to get my son ready for school. As the day went on my eyes were still a bit irritated so last night after my daughter's dance class, I picked up some eye drops to help ease my weary eyes. Finally some relief...sort of. Does it ever end???? As I crawled into bed last night, I began to cough and cough and cough. Fu#KKKKKKKKKK!!!! I finally got to sleep and woke up at 5:30 this morning READY to get Cardio 2 done...
Day 38 = Cardio 2
...and that is what I did! I got through the Butt Kicks, the High Knees, the Fast Feet, the Jumping Jacks, everything that Jillian threw at me, I caught it and KILLED it. I will not let a crappy cold get me down. I pushed my way through it over the past week and a bit, but I won't let it set me back. Stay Strong! I know many people have come down with this nasty thing, and if you are one of them, Keep Calm and Stay Strong! It too shall pass. I know that when you are sneezing or coughing your head off and blowing your nose every few seconds, it will get better. It doesn't feel like the world will ever be the same again, but it will. It will be better because you have been ill, but you have stayed focused on your goals, and yes, maybe gave into that extra piece of pie over the weekend, but you didn't eat the whole thing, and that's good. Even though Pumpkin pie taste delightfully yummy, you are worth more than that pumpkin pie. You have kept your workouts

Breakfast: Pumpkin Pancakes with Pumpkin Whipped Cream
This was very delicious. Very Pumpkinny!
Snack: Carrot
You all know what a carrot looks like...that's I had.
Lunch: Pea Soup with Smoked Ham with Sweet Potato Crisps and Crackers
Some comfort food to finish off this day.
